Lincoln Imp

Sent by the Devil to cause mischief across England, a young imp flew into Lincoln Cathedral and began tormenting the angels within. An angel turned the creature to stone where it sat perched on a pillar, and there it remains — a leering figure carved into the stonework of the Angel Choir, grinning down at visitors to this day.
