The Loch Ness Monster

A vast creature said to inhabit the deep waters of Loch Ness. A much earlier River Ness water-beast tradition appears in Adomnan's Life of St Columba: the saint commands the creature to retreat when it threatens one of his followers. Modern Nessie has been hunted by cameras, submarines and sonar for over a century, always elusive.
