Wild Edric
Clun Forest and Stiperstones, Shropshire, England
Wild Edric was an Anglo-Saxon thane of Shropshire who became the subject of an early English fairy-bride legend. He broke a condition imposed by his otherworldly wife Godda, causing her to vanish. Later tradition says his spirit rides with a ghostly cavalcade over the Stiperstones whenever England faces danger.
